Prosecution opposed the bail plea in a previous hearing saying the accused is a flight risk.
Rally driver Maxine Wahome, who is facing a murder charge for the death of her lover Asad Khan, will know her fate on 29 March when the high court rules on whether she will be freed on bond or not.
The 25-year-old pleaded not guilty to the charge against her last week when she appeared before Justice Lilian Mutende via a video link.
During the bail application hearing at the Milimani Court, Wahome, through her lawyer Philip Murgor said she was in an abusive relationship with her late boyfriend Khan.
"When the incident (murder) occurred, she was going to pack her bags to leave the Khan's house," the lawyer said.
However, the prosecution opposed the bail plea saying the accused is a flight risk.

The prosecution also said the accused had not presented any proof in court to back her claims of being in an abusive relationship.
The court was also asked to consider Wahome’s conduct after Khan’s passing on, in the account of the fact she neither visited him in hospital nor attended his burial.
Khan died at the Avenue Hospital in Nairobi where he had been admitted following an alleged fatal assault that caused him to allegedly bleed to death.
